When I first began teaching STEAM a few years back, I remember searching high and low for curriculum ideas that suited my experience, my context and the resources I had available to me. It wasn't easy but I was always so grateful to the educators that shared their content with me. As teachers, I think it's important to share what has worked for us and to lift each other up. At the end of the day, this is about our students more than anything. This is why I've decided to share all my planning documents from my years teaching the Digital Technologies curriculum (F-8), Design & Technologies curriculum (F-8) and Media Arts curriculum (F-4).
Although I have tried to categorise these lessons, you will find that they often link together and across the curriculum. It is really easy to link literacy to most parts of the curriculum and you will find that numeracy lends itself well to Digital Technologies and Design & Technology.
All lessons contained here are linked to the Victorian Curriculum.
Please contact me if you have any questions or suggestions. Even better if you have used my ideas and want to share your successes (I love to hear success stories).
